Senior Care

More senior citizens are realizing the advantages of aging in place and choosing this option instead of leaving their home for a nursing home or assisted living facility.  Aging in place gives seniors more independence and allows them to remain in the comfort of their own home.  This has become such a popular option that it is now the preference of about 90 percent of seniors who have reached retirement.

Many seniors who choose to age in place will still need some form of home care to help them live safely and comfortably.  Certain chores may become difficult, driving may no longer be an option, and they may have difficulty with their personal care.  While family members can help their elderly loved ones in their homes, most families can only handle helping them to an extent before they need outside assistance.  When this occurs, a senior home care agency is a great option.

Each of our caregivers at Tradition Home Care will provide your loved ones with quality care while treating them with compassion and respect.  We make sure our caregivers pass a background check, before caring for our clients.  Our caregivers will provide any assistance needed from help with personal care to help around the house and they will build a personal relationship with your loved ones to be their companion as well as their caregiver.

In addition to personal care, we can help your loved ones with various activities around the house known as Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLS):

  • Light Housekeeping: We can help your loved ones keep their home clean by handling light housekeeping tasks that they can’t, including vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and taking out the trash.
  • Grocery Shopping: Our caregiver will assist with the grocery shopping so there is always food in the home.
  • Transportation: For seniors who no longer drive, we will provide the transportation they need to get to doctor appointments and family events and take care of important errands.
  • Companion Care: Our caregivers will be more to your loved ones than just their caregivers. They will provide companionship for your loved ones by building personal relationship through friendly conversation and fun activities.
